2012 Price Increase Grubco has held the price of our insects over 2 years. Our shipping prices have increased equally with the carrier increases. We are now forced to raise our price for some of our products. Our main ingredients for raising our insects, wheat bran and carrots, have increased over 30% in 2 years. Our bags have increased 12%. Plastic cups and lids have tripled in price. Our boxes have increased only 1-2% but an increase is on the horizon. Fuel surcharges are being added to all of our incoming shipments. Taxes and insurance costs are ridiculous! This decision was not an easy one. We considered many issues before deciding on this increase. Among those were: The current economic climate of our Country, our competitors pricing, the future of this industry, and our valued customers. You, the customer, are our primary concern. We are in business to provide a much needed product that most of you depend on receiving on a constant basis. In order to continue, adjustments had to be made.
